When it comes to Halloween, nothing hits harder than a perfectly executed family or group costume theme. It’s a chance to bring a little magic into the season, create memories, and snap some great photos along the way. Plus, who doesn’t love the creative challenge of putting together coordinating outfits that bring your favorite characters to life?
One of my absolute favorites is a Disney-theme. The options are literally endless. Here are some of the Disney costume themes we have done over the years:

Disney Princess
Another great option if your family or group has a lot of girls in it, like ours; everyone can dress up as their favorite Disney Princess! (Don’t forget the princes and sidekicks)

50s Theme
If you love a good throwback, consider going all-in on a 50s theme — think leather jackets, poodle skirts, and sunglasses. It’s super easy to put together and looks amazing!

Circus Theme
Want to get a little more unique? Try a circus theme. There are great options with this one; ringmasters, clowns, acrobats, or even a strongman! Bright colors, big energy—your squad will definitely stand out.

Coraline
Or you can get spooky with a Coraline look. Last year our family put together costumes as the full cast from the movie and I think it’s one of my favorite themes that we have ever done!

Feeling crafty? Homemade costumes are next-level fun. Picture this: the whole fam dressed up as different condiments: ketchup, mustard, and relish, or you can dress up the crew as a fruit salad! The beauty of homemade costumes is that you can tailor them exactly to your family’s style and comfort, making the experience even more personal and fun!
There’s just something about doing Halloween together that makes it extra special! It’s not just about the costumes themselves, but the fun of planning, creating, and, of course, showing off the final looks for all to see! So rally the fam, lock in a theme, and get ready to make this Halloween iconic.
Happy Halloween costume planning! 🎃👻
